Horse Health Matters
I have been involved with horses for most of my life, participating in dressage, eventing, show jumping, equitation, and hunting. After a serious accident where a young horse somersaulted on a cross-country course, I sustained a broken pelvis in three places. Determined to continue my passion, I invested in a good horse and found success and enjoyment, only for him to fall on the same course, which ended my riding career for a long period. This accident left me sick, dizzy, and bedridden for most days, marking the beginning of my long journey to regain health and ultimately leading to the creation of Health Matters.
Continued Connection with Horses
My connection with horses continued through my two amazing daughters, who competed at a very high level. I earned my BHSAI at 17 and later obtained my BHSIT while recuperating from my pelvis injury. This allowed me to keep my passion for horses alive through teaching.
Holistic Healing Journey
As a Reiki master and trainer, I learned to use a pendulum and realized that my health was my responsibility. I explored all aspects involving quantum physics and spirituality, understanding how emotions affected my body and how they impacted horses as well. Unable to ride, I found a new purpose in applying my skills to help horses on a deep level.
Services Offered
I have created a 12-minute video explaining all the areas I cover during a horse health check. In-person sessions typically last around 45 minutes, during which the horse will indicate when they have received enough healing energy through licking, chewing, and eventually yawning.
I am based in Castlerock and have my own yard, KC Equestrian, located between Bangor and Ards. I frequently visit my daughter outside Lisburn, so I am happy to see horses in person in these areas. I can travel further, with an additional travel charge. A standard session costs £50, but if minimal work is required, I will adjust the fee accordingly.
Distance Healing
During the COVID period, I developed my skills to work remotely using a photograph. For a remote session, I need the name and age of the horse and a full-body picture (it doesn't have to be recent). No further details are required. I will notify you when I can work on the horse and provide a full report of my findings. Currently, I charge £35 for an assessment and initial healing.
